CHRISTIAN GOLDING

Christian’s formal training includes a Bachelor’s of Music from the University of Western Ontario, along with a Master’s of Music in Piano Performance and Literature. He has studied with Leslie Kinton, Brett Kingsbury, and Gwen Beamish.

A Teacher Built on Depth

Christian most enjoys working with students with a drive to study in the classical tradition, which could include RCM exams and competitions. He also enjoys teaching those with an interest in the foundations of music through theory and composition, or students with a desire to generally play or learn.

Christian operates primarily out of the St. Thomas region, with a few select students in the London area.

Who Thrives in His Studio

Christian was always a shy child, where music at first seemed daunting, as you’d need to, at some point, get out of the comfort zone and perform. Once he figured out that it’s possible to gain competence and confidence through various organizational methods and techniques, he felt a strong desire to share that knowledge with others who might feel gate-kept by their own insecurities.

Christian wants to show people that anyone can achieve happiness and success despite certain backgrounds or personality traits.

Lessons with Christian prioritize teaching students how to think and not what to think.
